"What are you doing for others?"


These are officially the first six words I've ever repeated on this blog. They first appeared on MLK Day in 2013, and here they are again in 2017. I believe they're repeat-worthy. They're why I'm an educator, and I hope they guide all of us in our many callings.

Some other things that Dr. King said will never change and will always be true: 
Service always speaks louder than words. Only love can drive out hate. The time is always right to do what's right. We must develop the capacity to forgive. And nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance or conscientious stupidity.

Dr. Martin Luther King gifted us a lifetime of love and wisdom in 39 short years.
